Kratom Powder

Dried Kratom Leaf
Is it worth it? I have not tried it myself, but kratom does indeed work. It has been used as in Indonesia for a very, very long time.

Kratom leaf, powder, and extract can be bought easily online from a reputable source. Beware of false kratom peddlers, and non-kratom products such as "Mellow Gold" which claim to be kratom.

The active chemical in kratom is mitragynine. This chemical is a delta opioid receptor agonist in small doses, causing the user to feel stimulated, and in higher doses is a mu opioid receptor agonist, making the user feel sedated. Kratom is usually consumed in the form of a tea, or can be eaten in it's raw form, but the latter is not very appetizing. It has been used in Thailand for generations, and was banned in 1943. It remains illegal in Thailand, Australia, Vietnam, Burma, and Malaysia.

Kratom is used as an opiate substitue. The effects usually take effects in approximately five to ten minutes, lasting several hours. Effects of consuming kratom/mitragynine include euphoria, analgesia, and stimulation. In small doses it acts as a stimulant, in larger doses it acts as a sedative. Acute negative effects include loss of appetite, dry mouth, and constipation.

Although it is possible to become dependent on kratom, like it is with any substance. It does not cause very large physical dependence, although it may become habit forming. It is recommended that kratom should be used no more than once a week, and only once or twice a month, in order to ward off forming a kratom habit. Heavy machinery and driving is not a good idea if under the influence of kratom. People taking antidepressants should not use kratom, as it is an MAO inhibitor, and may have a negative reaction to brain chemistry.

Kratom is legal to buy, posses, and consume in all of Europe and the United States.  However, one should always practice safety and common sense while using any substance. Again, If you choose to consume any substance, it is your own decision and I am in no way responsible. Good luck, see ya next post.

Lately I've gotten interested in the drug sub-culture. There have been many websites online explaining effects and doses and a lot of other information, but to my knowledge, there hasn't been a website that lists only legal substances and information about these substances in such a way that is quick, easy to read, and aesthetically appealing. Also, I should mention, I do not advocate the use of any illegal substance or mind altering substance, and I do not recommend that you do anything illegal or otherwise harmful to your health. If you choose to consume any substance, it is your own decision and I am in no way responsible. Hopefully I can provide some information that seems to be spread out all over the internet and possibly save you some time and money.
